This solo exhibition at MiM Gallery in Culver City/California brought together the woodcut series Ghosts, Gates and Spills, a sculpture in which a fog machine blows smoke through the openings of four recorders at irregular intervals, a wool blanket that I took with me when I moved out of my childhood home, two matching ponchos that I knitted for myself and my son when he was a baby, and a ceramic wall piece. In all of these pieces I was thinking through ideas of porosity, vulnerability and protection.
