What Can Be Shown Cannot Be Said, 2013
As an art teacher, I often ask myself the question: How do we value individual expression versus something that is simply "well made"? How do we decide which piece has failed, and which one shows artistic ambition in its deviation from the form? For this photo series I sneaked into the art room of my former high school during Christmas break and photographed student's clay copies of the famous sculpture depicting Egyptian pharaoh Chephren.
